The Greater Elkhart County
Storm water Partnership has been collecting annual fees from real estate
in order to improve the quality of storm water runoff to streams,
rivers, and lakes to comply with federal and state laws.
These funds will provide public education
and participation, regulation of construction site runoff,
post-construction storm water management on new development, illicit
discharge detection and elimination, and pollution prevention in
municipal operations.
